Seasons Poetry Garden

Recently I’ve been fortunate to move to a new home, with a delightful garden and writing space, and I want to share the tranquillity and inspiration I’ve found. Hence the creation of ‘Seasons Poetry Garden’, a quarterly informal poetry / spoken word event. It’s not just for writers – it’s for people who like to listen to literary offerings, as well as those who’d like to bring along something to read that isn’t their own, they just enjoy it. It’s also a social event, so we can chat about writing, creativity, just being there….no readings necessary. Who knows, we may even be inspired to write at the same time!

Numbers are limited (as it is a small and bijou space – 20-25 at a time!), so please do let me know if you’d like to come along as either audience or a reader. As interest has already been stunning, I’m going to hold a waiting list so if you don’t get in first time round, I’ll give you first dibs for the next one!

So, the details. As the name suggests, these gatherings are planned to be held once per quarter, to tie in with the seasons. The first date is planned for August to mark the season of Lughnasadh. The others will be around the seasons of Samhain (Oct/Nov), Imbolc (Feb/Mar), Beltane (Apr/May) – dates will be confirmed closer to the time.

The event will be free, with nibbles & soft drinks provided, so feel free to BYOB (and seats, I only have a few!) – glasses & bottle openers will be available! There will be a bucket available for any pennies people would like to donate which will go towards a nominated charity each season (obviously no obligation to do so).

Some of the attendees are published authors, and may well have their books with them for you to purchase and enjoy (mine will be available) – author signings may well be a happening! There’s a lot of talent in wonderful Worcester, who knows who you may meet?

Apologies to my followers who live far, far, away – this is Worcester, UK. But if you can get here…..?

So, if you’d like to come along, simply get in touch via the contact link at the top of the page and I’ll let you know if there’s space.
